6. ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS.
6.B. Development and Administrative Services - Friends of the Bandshell - 2017 Funding
Request (pp. 70-78)
Resolution authorizing the expenditure of $30,000 from the Main Street Community
Redevelopment Trust Fund to The Friends of the Bandshell (FOB) to support the
traditional Summer Concert Series at the Bandshell for the 2017 season. Funds will be
used to pay part of the cost for 18 nights of freworks at the Pier including the large
Fourth of July display. This payment is the same amount that was approved in 2016.
Supporting events at the Bandshell is consistent with the goals and policies of the
Main Street Redevelopment Plan. Funds are available in the Main Street Community
Redevelopment Trust Fund.
Reed Berger, Redevelopment Director, to report.
Recommendation: Redevelopment Director recommends adoption of the
Resolution.
Action: Motion to adopt the Resolution.
