Items 6 - 8 - ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS.
6.A. Public Works - Daytona Beach Bandshell Rehabilitation Phase II - Historic Resources -Grant Approval ( 5-30)
Resolution authorizing funding in the amount of $250,000 for the City's required 50
percent match for a $500,000 Grant from Historic Resources for Phase II of the
Bandshell Rehabilitation Project. Interior renovations are required to bring the
building up to the current building codes and the needs of more dynamic entertainment
events utilizing new and more energy effcient technology while still maintaining the
historical structure interior. Renovations will include the following:
Modernize all of the dressing room areas
Install new energy effcient heating ventilation and cooling equipment
Install new interior fnishes so that maintenance will be minimal
Install all new energy effcient electrical devices
David Waller, Deputy Public Works Director, to report.
Recommendation: Deputy Public Works Directors recommends adoption of the
Resolution.
Action: Motion to adopt the Resolution.
