7A.Public Works/Engineering - Martin Luther King Boulevard (MLK) - Phase 1 Roadway
Enhancement - Expenditure of Funds (pp. 6-11)
Resolution authorizing the expenditure of Midtown Redevelopment Funds, in the
amount of $195,492.50, for roadway enhancements to Martin Luther King Boulevard
(MLK). The enhancements include: resurfacing through the utilization of Florida
Department of Transportation (FDOT) Super Pavement Standards and installation of an
elevated crown that will greatly improve the storm water function of the road, reducing a
repeat of the subsurface degradation that currently exists in the roadway. Funds
available in the Midtown Redevelopment Fund.
Ron McLemore, Deputy City Manager/Operations, to report.
Recommendation: Deputy City Manager/Operations recommends adoption
of the Resolution.
Action: Motion to adopt the Resolution.
