Planning Solutions Corporation will present the Marina Village Plan that was created in
partnership with the City of Holly Hill and funded by the Florida Department of
Economic Opportunity to provide a vision for redeveloping the Halifax River Waterfront
area.

Item 8 - ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS.
Root Canal Bridge - Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) - Grant Expenditure of
Funds (pp. 50-92)
Resolution authorizing the expenditure of tax increment funds in the amount of $450,000
which includes $225,000 as the match for a $225,000 grant allocated by the Florida
Inland Navigation District (FIND) for the planning, permitting, and engineering required
to dredge the Root Canal, raise the bridge over the Root Canal, and create a new boat
ramp. FIND will reimburse the CRA in accordance with the terms of the contract. The
proposed investments in the public infrastructure are intended to transform this old
industrial area into a new destination for the boating public and create new business and
residential redevelopment opportunities that will benefit the surrounding neighborhood.
The project is consistent with, and funding is supported by, the Downtown/Ballough
Road Redevelopment Plan. Funds available in the Ballough Road Redevelopment Trust
Fund.
Reed Berger, Redevelopment Director, to report.
Recommendation: Redevelopment Director recommends adoption of the
Resolution.
Action: Motion to adopt the Resolution.
