THOSE MATTERS INCLUDED UNDER THE CONSENT AGENDA ARE SELF-EXPLANATORY AND ARE NOT EXPECTED TO REQUIRE REVIEW OR DISCUSSION. ITEMS WILL BE ENACTED BY ONE MOTION. IF DISCUSSION IS DESIRED BY ANY MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION, THAT ITEM MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA AND CONSIDERED SEPARATELY.

Development and Administrative Services - Downtown Streets Team First Amendment to Agreement

(pp. 5-19)

Resolution approving First Amendment to the Streets Team Funding Agreement between the City of Daytona Beach Community Redevelopment Agency and the Salvation Army to continue the administration of the Downtown Streets Team Program that started in 2010.  The agreement with the Salvation Army, 1555 LPGA Boulevard, Daytona Beach, Florida, 32117 provides for approval of funds in the total mount of $50,000 for reimbursement of services provided between October 1, 2016 and December 30, 2017 to be paid equally from the General Fund and the Main Street Redevelopment Trust Fund.  The amendment also provides for annual renewal of the agreement for three additional one-year terms by authority of the City Manager.  The Salvation Army Streets Team provides enhanced maintenance services in targeted area of the Downtown and Main Street Redevelopment Areas as a benefit to the CRA and in return, provides housing and support programs for homeless individuals participating in the Streets Team program.  The Streets Team maintenance services are consistent with the Downtown/Ballough Road and Main Street Redevelopment Plans goals, objectives and policies and eligible to receive CRA funding.

Recommendation:  Redevelopment Director recommends adoption of the Resolution.

Action:  Motion to adopt the Resolution.
